"Bushe de Noel"

In other words a yule log. I have to make 2 of these things for our Relief Society night next week. I attempted to make one on Sunday and the thing just fell apart. It is frustrating to make something so carefully and watch and it cracks and breaks and turns out to look like a big flat oval instead of a beautiful log. Well now that I have recuperated a little I am attempting it again tonight. The cake is baked and cooling in the fridge. When it come time to unroll and apply the filling lets pray that it works out better then the last one did. Wish me luck.

Hello, Hello, any one there?

I was in the kitchen making noodles for Allie and I had left Trevor in the front room. I could hear him in there chatting up a storm (which is nothing new, you just can't understand him) and I walked around the corner and there he was standing at the recliner where I had left my cell phone and he had my phone at his ear and was "talking". It was so cute. I said Trevor what are you doing? and he turned around, saw me and in a flash was down on all fours, phone in hand and was crawling behind the chair to hide from me. Gotta love him.

Family Time

So cute

Since Chris works at nights and I work during the day we decided to spend Saturday together. We went bowling at Fat Cats. Allie really enjoyed herself by running around and laying on the ground (her white shirt wasn't so white when we left). There were birthday parties going on there so people had balloons and cupcakes and it was really distracting to Allie lol. Chris had lots of power behind the balls he was throwing down the lanes and that helped him get lots of strikes and spares. Trevor just got handed back and forth between mom and dad. He was such a good little boy while we were there. We went to Baskin Robbins afterward and had icecream. Allie of course had to pick the "pink" icecream which ended up being bubble gum but she didn't like the little pieces of gum in it so she would take a bite and spit out the gum and drip pink icecream all over her white shirt, her jacket, my shoes, her pants, and the table. I have to say at that point I was losing patience. Trevor loved his icecream. He still needs to get the hang of licking the cone instead of sticking his whole face in it. I'm glad we had taken this time to spend together. I hope this will be something Allie will remember.

Halloween

We had lots of fun this year for Halloween. Allie and I went to maceys and bought halloween donuts. Trevor really enjoyed his. Then the family came over and we had dinner then went trick or treating. There was so much going on that I didn't get their pictures taken in their costumes until this morning. Allie was a mermaid all day long. She got it dirty so we dressed her in a fairy costume for trick or treating. Trevor was so cute in his lion costume. We had a little trouble when we lost his paw a couple of times in the dark and had to hunt it down. They got lots of candy. Trevor kept saying "mmmmmm" everytime he got candy from a house.
